Confusion over opening of posts for transfers

Nagpur, October 14

The ZP administration is confused over the

regularisation of displaced and random teachers and that is why the counseling process for vacant seats issue is still pending. The education committee chairperson tried to open 140 seats, but the CEO is adamant on 90 seats and hence there is a confusion over the displaced and random teachers post.

On the one hand when the education committee chairperson has been pressurising, but still there is no reply from the administration, it is amply clear that there is no consensus among them. On the other hand the teachers association has hinted a protest over the issue.

The dispute is growing in this regard. Currently there are 190 seats vacant under ZP. Despite the vacant posts, only 90 posts will be opened by the administration under the counseling process. The teacher organisation have raised a strong objection about this and the officers are also with the teacher organisation.

On Monday, education committee chairperson Bharti Patil had announced that 140 places would be opened for counseling. But the administration did not issue any authorised letter about it. Due to this, there has been a situation of conflict between the district administration and the officer-teacher organisation regarding this process.

Sources informed that the issue has reached to minister of Animal Husbandry. He has also given instructions to open 140 posts. But expressing fear of the tribal and difficult areas becoming vacant the CEO, has been adamant on opening only 90 places.

Objection on education officer

The officials of teachers’ organisation met in the presence of the CEO and education committee chairperson to discuss the process. After this meeting on October 1, a letter of the procedure was issued by the education department with September 30 as the dateline. It is now being alleged that the education officer deliberately misled the officials of the teachers’ organisation.
