Four special trains will run between Ajni and Pune

Railway administration is introducing special trains within Maharashtra phase wise. Accordingly, four special trains will run between Ajni and Pune. Railway administration has also announced to run special trains between Nagpur and Pune and Kolhapur and Gondia. This will provide relief to railway passengers.

According to decision, train number 02239 Pune-Ajni weekly special train will run from October 17. The train number 0240 Ajni-Pune weekly special train will run from October 18. Similarly, 02224 Ajni Pune weekly special train will run from Ajni on October 13 and 02223 Pune-Ajni weekly special train will run from Pune October 16. The stoppage, time and coach number will be same as Ajni-Pune-Ajni AC Express.

Special train will also run between Nagpur and Pune. Train number 01417 Pune-Nagpur weekly special will run from Pune on October 15 while 01418 Nagpur-Pune weekly special will run from Nagpur on October 16. The time, stoppage and coach number of this train will be same as Nagpur-Pune Humsafar Express.

A special train will also run between Kolhapur and Gondia. The train number 01039 Kolhapur-Gondia special will run from Kolhapur on October 11 and 01040 Gondia-Kolhapur special train will run from Gondia on October 13. These two trains will not stop at Bhavani Nagar, Cahndur Railway, Jalamb, Jardeshwar, Masur, Puntamba, Sevagram, Targaon, Takari and Wariwade. Only confirm ticket holders can travel in the train. Covid-19 guidelines will be followed strictly.

After six months, Ajni station will be abuzz with activities

Ajni railway station is closed for passengers since March due to the lockdown imposed in the railway due to Covid-19 pandemic. Not a single passenger train was running from here. But now, under the announcement of running trains within Maharashtra under Unlock-5, trains are also going to run from Ajni. After six months, Ajni station will again be buzzing with passengers.
