Gambling den busted in resort

Local crime branch team raided Eagle Resort situated about 6 km away from Kondhali, Katol tehsil, on Nagpur-Amravati national high way and arrested 36 persons while gambling there. Most of the accused are related to sand business. Police have recovered goods worth Rs 42.73320 lakh including cash from their possessions.

This action was taken in midnight on Wednesday. The arrested accused are Nagpur residents Dutt Wadkar, Sachin Vaidya, Mangesh Hatwar, Mouda residents Nilesh Kavle, Rajesh Nimje, Surendra Ambilduke, Ashok Vanjari, Gyaneshwar Barapatre, Purushottam Katkar, Johnny alias Munna Chalasani, Sharad Bhoyer, Firoz Khan, Srinivas Yermaneni, Ghanshyam Chafle, Rupesh Nimje , Ramchandra Nikhare, Kishore Dhakate, Radheshyam Ninave, Moreshwar Sorate, Yerkheda, Kamptee resident Badal Karamore, Arvi Wardha residents Ganesh Rathi, Sarang Thigale, Bhandara residents Rajendra Damahe, Om Hatwar, Pawni district Bhandara resident Omkar Hure, Sayed Azahruddin Basiruddin, Ashiwn Meshram, Tribhuvan Dandare, Shahapeer district Bhandara resident Tirtharaj Dupare, Phulmogra district Bhandara resident Atul Ramteke, Tiroda district Bhandara residents Santosh Bawankar, Malleshwar Koropade, Raju Kapse, Vilas Bawano, Gangala district Bhandara resident Hagaru alias Raju Nandeshwar, and Anna of Telangana.

According to information received LCB team was patrolling in Kondhali complex and it got the information about gambling in the resort. The team raided the resort after confirmation. During the action the LCB recovered Rs 2.48 lakh in cash, 36 mobile handsels and eight four wheelers. Altogether goods worth Rs 42.73320 lakh was recovered.
