GHRCE win two AICTE prestigious awards

The awards were distributed at the hands of Education Minister, Govt. of India Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, chairman AICTE . Anil Sahasrabudhe in the presence of other dignitaries. Two teams in the subcategory ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Self Defence’ stood second runner-up awarded with the certificate and prize of Rs.50000 each.

An initiative of the technical education regulator, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Lilavati Award aims to recognize efforts by AICTE-approved institutions to treat women with equality and empowering womanhood in the nation. The AICTE's Lilavati award is awarded to the institute for promoting and practicing the ideas of gender equality.

The team Women Entrepreneurship (Aatmanirbhar) was headed by Prof. Swapna Choudhary with the team members Dr. Atul Deshmukh, Prof. Archana Raut, Madhavi Chauhan, Bhargavi Kakirwar and the team Self Defence (Suraksha Chakra) was headed by Dr. Vibha Bora with the Team members Dr. Isha Khedikar, Prof. Bhakti Patankar, Aasim Khan and Kanchan Diyewar. Under Women Entrepreneurship, interventions carried out were the Establishment of GHRTBIF, MSME, Insights on Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, IGNITE3.0, and SAMADHAN. Under Self Defence, interventions taken were Training Programs for Safety Measures, Girl Child Safety, Work Place Harassment, Confidence Building Programs and Women Security Device.

Based on the theme 'Women Empowerment, AICTE finalized the winners from a total of 456 entries who competed across 6 sub-themes, which include, Women's Health, Self-Defence, Sanitation and Hygiene, Literacy, Women Entrepreneurship, and Legal Awareness. Participants uploaded photos and a short video for the interventions carried out.

The team thanked chairman,Sunil Raisoni, Dr. Sachin Untawale Director, GHRCE and Dr. Santosh B. Jaju, Dean R& D for constant support and motivation.
