A couple, along with two associates, honey trapped a youth and looted him. The incident took place at Ramna Maruti area in Nandanwan. Police have arrested four people, including a couple. Among the accused are Keval Buddhadev, his wife Pooja Buddhadev, Ramana Maruti, Saunarabh Nagpure and Shubham Buradkar.

Kewal sells fast food. His wife does petty jobs. Victim 28-year-old Hitesh works as a delivery boy in an online company. He used to work as a pigmy agent with Pooja eight years back. Which is how they recognised each other. Hitesh was at home due to no work during lock down. During this time, he came in contact with Pooja through Facebook.Hitesh took it in a normal way. According to his complaint, Pooja called him to her house to meet her. Hitesh reached Pooja''s house at 8 pm on Saturday night after some time Pooja''s husband Kewal reached home. He started beating Hitesh accusing him of having an affair with his wife.

Even on denying the allegation, Kewal and his friends started hitting him. He removed his clothes and made his half naked video. He asked his wife to upload the clipping online accusing him of raping her. They took away Rs 600 from his wallet and asked for Rs 1lakh on knife point. They then forcefully took him to an ATM and withdrew Rs13,000 from his bank account. The incident left him scarred. He filed a case at Nandanvan police station on Sunday. When police investigated the matter, the truth came out. The police arrested Kewal and his associates on Sunday night. Pooja was also detained this morning.

Many fell in their trap

The manner in which the accused have carried out the incident, there is a strong chance that similar incidents must have carried out in the past. Victims of such cases do not lodge complaints for fear of slander. Due to which, the accused become more confident.
