MSSC, MRCC storm into Guzder final

Ministerial Services Sports Club (MSSC) and Medical Representative Cricket Club (MRCC) set up a title clash in Guzder League 'A' Division Cricket Tournament organised by Vidarbha Cricket Association on Sunday. The final will be played on Tuesday at VCA Jamtha.

At VCA Civil Lines MSSC defeated Eleven Star by 56 runs. Batting first MSSC scored 201 all out in 49.5 overs. Opener Anshuman Rath played a patient knock of 50 in 104 balls hitting ine boundaries. Suraj Rai (30), Yash Rathod (28), Jitesh Sharma (23) were other contributors. For Eleven Star, Harsh Dubey and Mohammad Karim claimed three wickets each. While chasing the target, Eleven Star were bundled out for 145 in 45.4 overs. Middle order batsmen Shalabh Shrivastava (38), Shubham Dube (35) and Mohammad Karim (19 not out) showed some resistance. For MSSC, Prabhviraj Lamba snared three wickets whereas Akshay Wakhare, Suraj Rai and Mandar Mahale got two each.

At VCA Jamtha, MRCC recorded 29- run victory over Indian Gymkhana. Batting first MRCC scored 241 all out in 49.3 overs. Opener Siddhesh Wath slammed 66 in 76 balls hitting eight boundaries and one six. Pawan Parnate (41), Shrikant Wagh (32) and Darshan Nalkande (31) were other scorers. For Indian Gymkhana Azhar Sheikh got three wickets while pacer Rajneesh Gurbani and Gourav Dhoble were chipped in with two each.

In reply, Indian Gymkhana were all out for 212 in 45.8 overs. Amit Paunikar (56, 64b, 7x4) tried his best but didn't get support from other end. Jagjit Sasan (30), Himanshu Joshi (26), R Sanjay (24) got starts but failed to capitalised on it. For MRCC, Atharva Taide was the most successful bowlers as he took four wickets. Shubham Kapse and Mohit Raut also bowled well and got two each.
