Only 43 blood bags in GMC, 39 in Super Speciality Hospital!

The colleges are closed from last seven months due to coronavirus pandemic. The public gatherings are also banned. Due to beginning of Covid hospital in government hospital, the number of volunteer blood donors has gone down. This is affecting government blood banks. On Tuesday evening, there were 43 blood bags in GMC’s blood bank, 39 in blood bank of Super Speciality and 113 in blood bank of Mayo hospital. This has landed patients awaiting major surgeries, pregnant women and patients of cancer, thalassemia, haemophilia and sickle cell in trouble.

The second capital has Government Medical College and Hospital (Medical), Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (Mayo), Daga Memorial Government Hospital for Women, Super Speciality Hospital and over 633 private hospitals who give modern and quality facilities.
