Patil elected as MFA president

Minister of state for home Satej Patil was elected as the president of Maharashtra Fencing Association whereas city's Mohammad Shoaib who is also the secretary of Nagpur District Fencing Association will continue as joint secretary.

The special annual general body meeting of the association was held at Pune and Patel was unanimously elected as the president. As many as 50 representatives from 28 affiliated districts attended the meeting. Vice president of Fencing Association of India Anagha Waralikar was the observer on the behalf of FAI. On the occasion newly-elected president Satej Patil and secretary of Fencing Association of India Rajeev Mehta released the annual report of the association. Treasurer of Fencing Association of India Ashok Dudhare, secretary of Maharashtra Fencing Association Balasaheb Landge, officials of Maharashtra Fencing Association Prakash Tulpule, Dr Chandrajeet Jadhav, working president of Maharashtra Fencing Association Prakash Katule, secretary Uday Dongre, vice-president Sheshnarayan Londhe were present during the meeting.

On the occasion Rajeev Mehta appreciated the work of Maharashtra Fencing Association in taking the game at grass root level. He also assured all kind of support from the apex body.

Mehta also launched the website of Maharashtra Fencing Association.The newly-elected president Satej Patil said modern equipment will be made available in all parts of Maharashtra. He said," Maharashtra has been conducting national tournaments consistently and in future efforts will be made to host international event".

President of Nagpur District Fencing Association Ajay Sontakke and Mohammmad Shoaib have congratulated Patil for his election.
