Youths asked to know their strength

Nagpur, Oct 12

Group Commandant of NCC Group Headquarters Colonel Vikram Chandra said without bothering much about socio-economic situation in the society the youths should know their strength and inculcate the self motivation.

He was speaking during one-day national webinar on ''Contribution of youths in nation building'' jointly organised by NCC Golden Group and Surya Foundation for college students.

He further said in their college days the youths should be focussed on their goals and they should work hard to achieve the targets. Vikram Chandra said three things including study, physical fitness and hobbies make the youths physically and mentally strong. They should aim to achieve top post in the Indian Arm Forces.

In the first session of the webinar, retired commandant Dr NK Natrajan honoured city''s Janhavi Vyas who has become top official in the Indian Air Force. Colonel Pankaj Gupta was the special guest on the occasion. Sudhir Devgirkar conducted the proceedings while Dr Sharad Suryavanshi made introductory remarks.

In the second session, virtual discussion was organised. Commandant Sanjay Choudhary, Commandant Yogesh Dutt and retired flight lieutenant of Nagpur Shivali Deshpande were the guests on the occasion. They enlightened the students on how to prepare for arm forces.

Dr Soma Kiran conducted the proceedings. Students including Shekhar Reddy, Sahil Chinchkhede, Ayush Nikhade and Saloni Kumar also expressed their views on the occasion. The students, sportspersons and NCC cadets from Bhandara, Wardha Gondia and Nagpur attended the webinar in large number. Dr Amit Tembhurne, Dr Pravin Kumar, Dr Sonali Shirbhate, Archana Kottewar, Tejsingh Jagdale and others worked hare for the success of webinar.
