After Rihanna tweets on farmers protest, Rahul Gandhi indirectly calls PM Modi a dictator

Twitter was abuzz on Wednesday as international star, Rihanna tweeted in support of the famers protest. While those in allegiance with the protests have hailed her attempt at shining a light on the situation, others, such as actor Kangana Ranaut, dismissed Rihanna's comment. Now, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi posed a question as to why do so many dictators have names that begin with"M". He, however, did not elaborate on the context behind the tweet. "Why do so many dictators have names that begin with M ? Marcos, Mussolini, Milosevic, Mubarak, Mobutu, Musharraf, Micombero," the Congress leader tweeted on Wednesday.

The Wayanad MP has been time and again slamming the Centre and its policies. The Congress leader slammed the Central government after Twitter temporarily blocked accounts and posts related to the ongoing farmers' agitation on the direction of the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).He has also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government of planning to "handover India's assets to crony capitalist friends". Rahul's attack came amid crackdown on protesting farmers who have been camping at various border points near Delhi against the Centre's new farm laws. Earlier on Tuesday, he had tweeted images of one protest site, captioning them "Build bridges, not walls! "The protest sites have been sealed by stationing parked DTC buses and installing multi-layer barricades and checkpoints, turning them into a virtual fortress. The police have also deployed drones to monitor the protesters.
