Cabinet Reshuffle: Major reshuffle in Union Cabinet, 9 ministers dropped so far; check out reasons behind resignation?

Ahead of the Cabinet expansion on Wednesday evening several ministers have resigned from the Union Cabinet. It is seen that there has been a major reshuffle in the cabinet before the expansion of Narendra Modi's cabinet. So far, nine Union Ministers have resigned.

Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan, Babul Supriyo, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Sadanand Gowda, Deboshree Chaudhary, Santosh Gangwar, Sanjay Dhotre, Ratanlal Kataria and Pratap Sarangi have been asked to resign.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Santosh Gangwar- was the first to quit the Union Cabinet, followed by Debasree Chauduri, Sanjay Dhotre, Rao Saheb Dhanve Patil. The resignation has come hours ahead of the big cabinet reshuffle of the Modi government. The list of new ministers will be announced today evening by 6 pm. According to news agency ANI, as many as 43 leaders will take oath as Union Ministers in the Cabinet expansion.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sarbananda Sonowal, Narayan Rane, Bhupendra Yadav, former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi. and Meenakshi Lekhi are set to join the government, said sources, as they were among ministers who visited PM Modi’s residence today.

Dr Harshvardhan - Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan has been asked to resign. In the second wave of Corona, question marks were raised against the Modi government. Harshvardhan was also in charge of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Now with the resignation of Harshvardhan, 2 ministries became vacant.

Babul Supriyo - Babul Supriyo, an MP from Asansol in West Bengal, has also resigned. He was the Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment. There is talk of Babul being upset with Supriyo's party. Babul Supriya was fielded in the West Bengal Assembly elections. But he lost by 50,000 votes.

Santosh Gangwar: Uttar Pradesh MP from Bareilly Santosh Gangwar has also been asked to resign. He was in charge of the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The letter written by Santosh Gangwar went viral during the Corona period. It had castigated the Uttar Pradesh government. He will be replaced by Lakhimpur MP Ajay Mishra.

Sanjay Dhotre - Sanjay Dhotre has been elected from Akola Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra. He was the Minister of State for Information Technology along with the Department of Education. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unhappy with Sanjay Dhotre's performance. He can be removed from the cabinet and given the task of party organization.

Ratanlal Kataria - MP from Ambala in Haryana Ratan Lal Kataria was in charge of the Ministry of Water Power. He has been replaced by MP Sunita Duggal.

Pratap Sarangi: MP from Balasore in Odisha Pratap Sarangi has also been asked to resign. He was the Minister of State in the Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, including Micro, Small and Medium.
