After Jamia protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, East Delhi's Seelampur area also came out to protest against the CAB and NRC. Around 2,000 people had gathered to protest against the citizenship law. The protestors started pelting stones between Seelampur Tea Point to Jafrabad Tea Pointpolice after which tear gas shells were used by the police to disperse the demonstrators. The protesters also set the police station on fire and vandalized many buses. Many policemen were injured in this. Force has been deployed in the entire area. After the uproar, the entry & exit gates of Welcome, Jaffrabad and Maujpur-Babarpur, Seelampur and Gokulpuri have been closed. Trains won't be halting at these stations.




A rally was taken out in Seelampur area of ​​northeast Delhi against the revised citizenship law on Tuesday, during which locals threw stones at the police. Police used tear gas shells to disperse the A senior police officer said that people gathered at Seelampur Tea Point and protests started at around 12 noon. The protesters raised slogans in protest against the amended Citizenship Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the government.
