Cow dies after consuming 18kg plastic

Approximately 18kg plastic trash was surgically removed from the stomach of an ailing cow on a local hospital at Parel. However the domestic animal died due to post operation complications. The cow was admitted by the owner on November 7 after it refused to eat anything. The cow was put on a liquid diet and  while the doctors examined its stomach they found out a hardened mass in one of its stomachs which turned out be discarded plastic. 

Animal rights activists have often stressed the importance of stop using the banned plastic bags which animals tend to consumer after failing to food their required food. One of the animal activists on condition of anonymity said, "Even today, hawkers sell fruits and vegetables in banned plastic bags, the muncipal authority must take strict action against such hawkers in and around railway stations .'' Meanwhile, it is also reported that the plastic trash has also found its way into the sea killing a lot of marine creatures.
