The Government of Maharashtra issued warning for the north of Konkan and the northern-central state of heavy rain and thundershowers from 6 to 8 November due to cyclone ' Maha'.

The Government of Maharashtra issued warning for the north of Konkan and the northern-central state of heavy rain and thundershowers from 6 to 8 November due to cyclone ' Maha'.
Fishermen from that areas have been told to return to the shores and all the district administrations to stay alert.
In the wake of Cyclone 'Maha' the Indian Coast Guard had deployed seven ships and 2 aircraft off Gujarat coast to alert fishing boats at sea and asking them to return to their nearest port.

On Sunday the India Meteorological Department (IMD) tweeted that strong cyclonic storm 'Maha' over the Eastern Central Arabian Sea moved westward and intensified into a very severe cyclonic storm at 2.30 pm over the Eastern central Arabian Sea, 590 Km WSW of Veraval, Gujarat.
