Devendra Fadnavis & Jayant Patil get into twitter war over 'Free Kashmir' poster

The protests in Mumbai in solidarity with students and teachers of JNU where a ‘Free Kashmir’ poster was spotted has attracted a lot of attention than the protest. The pictures and videos of the girl holding the poster soon went viral on social media.

Reacting to the poster, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted;

Protest is for what exactly?
Why slogans of “Free Kashmir”?
How can we tolerate such separatist elements in Mumbai?

Soon many BJP leaders started speaking against the Gateway of India protest and specifically against the poster.

The woman whose name is Mahek Mirza Prabhu put out a 3.27-minute-long video clarifying the reason behind the poster. She said she has been "getting many hate messages and is scared".

Maharashtra Irrigation minister, Jayant Patil then came to her rescue and replied to Fadnavis on the tweet;

However, the matter didn't end and Fadnavis replied with another tweet stating;

Now an FIR has been registered against Mehek Mirza Prabhu who held a poster with the slogan "free Kashmir" at the Gateway of India in Mumbai yesterday during a protest against the violence at Jawaharlal Nehru University in the national capital.

According to police, the FIR was registered against Mehek Mirza Prabhu under Section 153B (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national-integration) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Kolba police station here today.
