Jitan Ram Manjhi To Contest From Gaya Lok Sabha Seat in Bihar

As soon as the seat was allotted, Morcha's patron, Jitan Ram Manjhi, announced to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the reserved seat of Gaya. This time, Hindustani Awam Morcha is contesting the elections under the banner of NDA, and this seat of JDU has been given to the Manjhi.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Jitan Ram Manjhi contested the polls from the Gaya seat and lost to JDU candidate Vijay Kumar. His party had contested the elections in alliance with RJD.

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has given a ticket to Kumar Sarvjeet from the Gaya Lok Sabha seat.  The NDA announced seat-sharing in Bihar ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. BJP leader Vinod Tawde announced that the BJP will contest 17 Lok Sabha seats, JD(U) 16 seats, and LJP (Ram Vilas) 5 seats.

Two other parties will contest in one seat each, with Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha each contesting in one seat. BJP to contest 17 seats including Paschim Champaran, Purvi Champaran, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Araria, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Maharajganj, Saran, Ujiarpur, Begusarai, Nawada, Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, Arrah, Buxar and Sasaram. 

The Janata Dal-United (JDU) to contest 16 seats including Valmiki Nagar, Sitamarhi, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Siwan, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Nalanda, Jahanabad and Sheohar.

The Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) to contest five Lok Sabha seats in Bihar including Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui. The Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) to contest only the Gaya seat while Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) will fight the Karakat seat.
