JNU VC Kumar raises questions over Deepika's visit to University

M Jagadesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, has questioned those who support the demonstrations in universities across the country. Questions are also being raised on Jagdish Kumar for not taking proper steps regarding the attack on students on campus in JNU last week. The news agency ANI quoted him saying, 'I want to ask all those great personalities who support the agitators, what about the thousands of students and teachers who are deprived of their rights of research and teaching? Why can't you stand with them? '

The statement give by the VC is linked with Deepika Padukone's visit to JNU. On Tuesday, Deepika reached the JNU campus to show solidarity with the students. Deepika Padukone in an interview with NDTV said, 'I feel proud that we are not afraid to express our views. It is good that we are thinking about the country and its future."

There was a dispute when Deepika went to JNU. BJP leaders are calling it a 'publicity stunt'. Not only this, many BJP leaders have even appealed to boycott Deepika's film Chhapak.
