Amid the ongoing struggle for government formation in Maharashtra, senior BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar claimed that soon the Mahayuti of BJP-Shiv Sena and allies will be ruling in the state.

Live Updates: Maharashtra political crisis, Shiv Sena-BJP tussle for CM post

Amid the ongoing struggle for government formation in Maharashtra , senior BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar claimed that soon the Mahayuti of BJP-Shiv Sena and allies will be ruling in the state. The tensions between Shiv Sena-BJP also seemed to be easing on Wednesday, when 6 Sena ministers of the party attended a meeting called by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis  over the agrarian crisis in the state.

Maharashtra BJP President, Chandrakant Patil: People of Maharashtra have given mandate to 'Mahayuti' (alliance). There is delay in government formation. Today, we met the Governor to discuss the legal options and political situation in the state.

Gulabrao Patil, Shiv Sena MLA after meeting party chief Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree: We (Shiv Sena MLAs) will be staying at Hotel Rangsharda for next 2 days. We will do whatever Uddhav Sahab asks us to do.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on government formation in #Maharashtra: There will be a decision soon. Government in Maharashtra should be formed under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis Ji; RSS and Mohan Bhagwat Ji have no connection with this.

Talking about shifting Shiv Sena MLAs to the resort, party spokesperson Sanjay Raut said, "Their is no need for us to do this, our MLAs are firm in their resolve and committed to the party." Those who are spreading such rumors should worry about their MLAs first.

Sharad Pawar: Next 72 hours important for government formation in the state

The next 72 hours are very important for the new government, as the term of the assembly ends on 9 November. On wednesday Shiv Sena's six ministers met CM Fadnavis regarding the agrarian crisis in the state. While NCP chief Sharad Pawar increased the suspense by stating that like other people, he too is waiting for BJP-Shiv Sena to form government as soon as possible.

Shiv Sena has no choice but to form government with BJP: Athawale

BJP's ally Republican Party of India (A) chief Ramdas Athawale said on Wednesday that the Shiv Sena had no option but to form government with the BJP under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis in Maharashtra. His statement came at a time when Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said that the NCP will play the role of a "responsible opposition".

The RSS has finally taken steps to address the political crisis going on in Maharashtra for the last 10 days. If sources of the Sangh Parivar are to be believed, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat can talk to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to resolve the tensions between BJP and Shiv Sena.

Differences in Congress over support to Shiv Sena

There has been a lot of discussion on the Congress and NCP supporting  Shiv Sena to keep BJP away from power. However, the Congress had it's reason of not supporting Shiv Sena. The party's state head Nitin Raut has clarified that no Congress MLA is willing to go with the Shiv Sena.

President's rule will not be implemented: Dalwai

Congress Rajya Sabha MP Hussain Dalwai has said that Congress and NCP will not allow President's rule in the state. It has been decided between the two parties. He claimed that the BJP government will not rule the state. Dalwai held a discussion with Sanjay Raut for 15 minutes in the Shiv Sena office today. Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has also given a similar statement. He said that we will not allow the BJP government to be formed.

Good news means Shiv Sena Chief Minister

On being told by BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar that good news will be given to the media soon, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that the good news means Shiv Sena leader will become the Chief Minister. Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray will not sit peacefully until he becomes the Chief Minister of Shiv Sena.
