Owaisi: Modi govt wants Muslim to be stateless

Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday targeted the government over the issue of Citizenship Amendment Bill and NRC.

He said that he would oppose it in all circumstances and would appeal to other parties to do the same. Owaisi said, "Citizenship was not linked to religion in the Constitution. For the first time this is happening when the BJP government is showing its real face. ”He said that the Prime Minister has shown that he is following his ideology and not the Constitution. He said that this is clearly a violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution.

Owaisi said that NRC will come after the Citizenship Amendment Bill, in which all those who are not Muslims will get citizenship. And Muslims will be put in detention center. The government wants to make Muslims stateless. Modi government is working to divide the country.
