If you want to join Intelligence Bureau or want to become RAW agent, this article is important for you. Today, many of us want to get a job. Getting a job at RAW and the Intelligence Bureau is not a trivial matter. Working as an officer and intelligence agent requires certain qualifications and hard work.

  • Eligibility Criteria for Applying for IB and RAW: The primary requirement to apply for the post of officer in both the important investigative bodies is the eligibility criteria, which include educational qualifications, maximum age limit, experience and other basic criteria. Some strict criteria are followed for selection of candidates in IB and RAW.
     
  • Educational Qualification: Candidate should have completed the degree from a reputed university / institution, so that the candidate can apply for the post of Intelligence Officer. Interested candidates must have proof of good education in order to get a job in RAW, i.e. a degree from a reputed university and also knowledge of at least one foreign language to become a RAW agent.
     
  • Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate to apply to the Intelligence Bureau should be 56 years. Candidates must have 20 years of work experience to join RAW.
     
  • Other Basic Criteria: Candidate must be a citizen of India and not have a criminal record. 
     
  • Ways to join IB and RAW: Candidate has to face difficult exams to get admission in these two investigative bodies. You must qualify for the interview after taking the written test. The CGPE exam is conducted every year by the SSC for jobs in the Intelligence Bureau. To become a RAW agent, the aspiring candidate must pass the Group A Civil Service Examination, which is conducted through the Central Employees Scheme. The candidate has to pass all the stages of this examination, only after that the eligible candidate can appear in the RAW examination. A Hindi website has reported about this.
