Tokyo Olympics 2020 Guidelines: Here's what's allowed and what's not

The much awaited Tokyo Olympics 2020 is all set to commence  from July 23. Amid the rising COVID-19 cases the games will be held under strict protocols. The  International Olympic Committee (IOC) unveiled the list of guidelines yesterday keeping social distancing in mind.

Here's what's allowed and what's not

Additional podium modules will be placed between gold and silver medallists and gold and bronze medallists to allow for social distancing.

All participants shall wear masks at all times during the ceremony.

All the presenters will be vaccinated, and there will be only one IOC member and one

International Federation representative at each event.

Athletes  will have to put their medals around their necks themselves to protect against spreading the virus.

Olympic medalists will not be presented with medals by dignitaries as they stand on the podiums during medal ceremonies.

Handshakes and  hugs strictly not allowed.

Athletes, presenters and volunteers will not pose for group photographs.

Spectators not allowed in stands.
