Ratan Tata was born on December 28, 1937. He did his schooling at Campion School in Mumbai till Class VIII, later he went to Bishop Cotton School in Shimla for further studies.

For his degree, Ratan Tata went abroad, where is studied at Riverdale Country School in New York City in 1955. He later went to Cornell University in 1959 where he took his architecture degree.

To gain the basic knowledge of business Ratan Tata worked in Tata Sons company.

During his 10 years of student life in the US, Ratan Tata has worked in many places. He also worked in hotels and restaurants. And now he is one of the biggest business tycoons in the country.

Apart from entrepreneur, Tata is known for his kind and generous nature, he is the inspiration for today's youth.

Not only cars but Ratan Tata also owns jets, he also has the pilot's license. He once flew an Indian Air Force A-16 fighter jet. In today's time from salt to building aircraft for the defense forces, 30 companies operate under the Tata Group.

Ratan Tata was the Chairman of Tata Sons from 1991 to 2012. However, he is currently Chairman of the Tata Charitable Trust of the TATA Group. Ratan Tata had donated Rs 500 crore to the PM Care Fund during the Corona crisis.

Tata has also received the two highest civilian awards of India, the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.
