Bollywood celebs who supported Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant's death

Richa Chadha tweeted against the supposed media trial of Rhea. In one of her tweets, the actress, referring to the media coverage of Sushant’s case, said that she studied to be a journalist but was glad that she chose to be an actor instead.

Sonam Kapoor showed her support for which she received a lot of flak. In a tweet, posted a day after Sushant’s death, she had written, “Blaming a girlfriend , ex girlfriend, family , colleagues for someone’s death is ignorant and fucking mean spirited.” The actress had faced a lot of flak for her post and she has stayed away from the matter since then.

Ram Gopal Varma has also labelled the media coverage of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case as ‘witch-hunting’ against Rhea. The filmmaker described Rhea's interview with India Today as the best thing to put fake media stories at rest.

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, is also among the rare celebs who has questioned media’s role in Sushant’s case. In one of his tweets he stated that he is resigning from Bollywood.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, too, has been opposing Rhea’s alleged trial by the media. In a tweet, he had asked who would be responsible if the actress, being subjected to the ‘media trial’, did harm to herself.

Kubbra Sait, best known for her performance in the Netflix web-series Sacred Games, questioned media’s undivided attention on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case in a recent interview with DNA. She asked as to why the media was not covering the suicides of a Marathi actor and a TV actor. Questioning the role of media in the case, Kubbra pointed out that it is nothing but witch-hunting (against Rhea Chakraborty).

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar, who is known for being very vocal on social issues without mincing words, slammed Indian media for being toxic in her latest tweets and voicing her support for Rhea Chakraborty. Swara tweeted, "Rhea is being subjected to a bizarre & dangerous media trial fuelled by hugely problematic impulses of mob justice. In her another tweet the actress labelled Rhea's media worse than 26/11 terrorist, Ajmal Kasab.
