Did You Know? Kareena Kapoor was reportedly in a relationship with Hrithik Roshan

Early in her career, Kareena Kapoor Khan was linked with many of her costars. One of the them that made a lot of noise in the industry was with none other than Bollywood Greek God Hrithik Roshan

The rumours of their love affair began after they worked together in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Yaadein (2001) and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (2003).

Both Hrithik and Kareena had denied the rumours when it started spreading like wildfire.

For the unversed, Hrithik by then, was already married to his wife, Sussanne and the duo was even parents to their first child, Hrehaan. In an old interview with Filmfare, Kareena had rebuffed all such rumours and clarified how she would not do something like that which would be detrimental to her career.

Hrithik and Kareena shared a great bond together and seemed like an almost perfect duo on the silver screen.

Kareena debuted in 2000 with the film Refugee, opposite Abhishek Bachchan. But before that, she was supposed to star opposite Hrithik Roshan in the film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. After shooting for it briefly, her mother Babita decided to pull her out of the project, and she was replaced by Ameesha Patel.

Speaking with Filmfare, Kareena said that she would have definitely become a star if she hadn’t left the project, but she wanted to be known as an ‘actress’ instead. She elaborated, “The film was made for Hrithik. His dad spent five hours on every frame and close-up of his, whereas not even five seconds were spent on Ameesha.

There are portions in the film where she has pimples and under-eye bags on her face. She just doesn’t look beautiful, but every shot of his was a dream. If I were in the film, I would have definitely got a better deal, but I still feel that the attention would have divided between us. So, I’m glad I didn’t do the film. I’m glad that even after I left the movie there is no problem between Hrithik and me. He’s still a friend, I’m very happy for his success and we are even working in two films together.”

While the actors never confirmed their alleged love affair, they addressed the speculations several times in interviews.

Just after his wedding with Sussanne Khan, the Jodha Akbar star had talked about the news of his "fling" with Kareena. On being asked about the ugly controversy in his life, Hrithik had stated, "The fling with Kareena? (laughs). Is it over, or what? Seriously the timing was ugly. Thankfully my friends, family and Suzanne trust me enough not to believe in such talk. Kareena is friendly with Suzanne. She also knows my sister very well. The only person I feel bad about is Kareena. I’m a man and such talk doesn’t affect me. She says she doesn’t care. She says it’s okay. But I can imagine how bad her family must be feeling".
