I want a divorce with Adil as soon as he is out of jail: Rakhi Sawant

Drama queen Rakhi Sawant's husband Adil Khan Durrani is currently spending the night in jail due to allegations. The actress has accused him of domestic violence. At present, Rakhi is fully following Islam. She has started fasting in the month of Ramadan.

Rakhi has said this while interacting with the media. Now in a similar interview she said that she wants a divorce from Adil. Even earlier she had shouted and said that no matter what happens. She won't do that. She also said that she will not leave her husband.

In a special conversation with Bombay Times, Rakhi Sawant had said a month ago that she wants to see Adil punished. On February 6, Rakhi had accused Adil Khan Durrani of domestic violence, cheating, theft of money and jewelery.

On February 12, an Iranian woman filed an FIR at the Mysore police station accusing Adil of rape. Now Rakhi Sawant has said that she will divorce. According to her, 'Yes I said earlier that I don't want to divorce Adil .

'Even when I was abused. He got me into trouble even when he fought with me. I didn't want a divorce though. He was saying that he will divorce me as he wants to marry again. But never thought of divorce.'

'After being single for a month now, I have realized that there is no point in being in a married relationship with this man. Who doesn't respect me at all. He is in jail and now he cannot divorce me.'

'One day I will give talaq as soon as Adil Khan comes out of jail. I want to be free now and live a peaceful life.' Rakhi Sawant has denied the reports that she made a statement in the media for publicity.

'Has everyone been through this? God protect women who are facing such marital problems in their life? How could this be a publicity stunt? Earlier I didn't think I would get a divorce but now I will.'

Rakhi Sawant said that she wants to focus on her work. Says- I want to focus on my work and good things. Right now I feel peaceful in Ramadan. I'm a bit more relaxed now and won't be living like hell like before.

I am also a little relaxed now and not going through hell like earlier.

Earlier, Rakhi Sawant alleged that her husband Adil Khan Durranis family told her that she is a Hindu and hence they cant accept her into the family.

"I met Adil in Mysuru one year ago, and eight months back we got married. I accepted Islam and we did 'Nikah'. Our marriage was registered in Mumbai. He had promised me that we will have babies and do a lot of things together," Sawant said.

I even sold my jewellery but he took everything from me. He also started torturing me. He was having an affair with an Iranian girl in Mysuru for five years, who later accused him of rape. I got messages from the Iranian girl in which Adil claimed that he is just using me for money and promised her a house in Dubai.
