Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's defamation trial has been new lows everyday with both the parties revealing shocking details about their relationship.

A lot has come out in the open about the ex-couple's past life. The actors are facing off with each other in Fairfax, Virginia Court over a USD 50 million defamation suit filed by Depp against the Aquaman actress.

During the court hearing, Elon Musk's name also cropped up several times. For the uninitiated, Elon and Amber dated for a brief time.

A video of them has also been making the rounds on social media where the actress is seen with the billionaire in one of Depp's penthouse elevators.

For the unversed, Elon and Amber Heard were in a relationship for some time after her split from Johnny Depp.

Elon and Amber broke up in 2017 after a year of their relationship. The pair rekindled their love in 2018 but called it quits once again after a few months.

During the trial, Depp's lawyers had also showed footage of Heard having late-night "meetings" with the billionaire.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star had a different version. He alleged in his lawsuit that the duo was in a relationship 'no later than a month after their marriage', which was held in February 2015.

Amber Heard and Elon Musk first met on the sets of Machete Kills (2013). In the film, the actress played the role of Miss San Antonio Blanca Vasquez while Musk appeared in cameo role.

In 2016, Amber's divorce from Johnny Depp was finalised. In the same year, Elon's divorce with ex-wife Talulah Riley was also finalised. At the time, it was reported that the duo got romantically involved.

On April 24, 2017, Amber Heard made her relationship with Elon Musk Insta official. She posted a picture of them together and captioned it, "Cheeky (sic)."

According to People, a source said at the time, "They have known each other for a while. They were friends first, but Elon was always very fascinated by Amber. When the time was right and they were both single last year, he started pursuing her romantically."

Amber Heard and Elon Musk ended their relationship in August 2017. A source told US Weekly at the time, "The timing wasn’t good for them. He’s super busy and works all the time. Amber is filming [Aquaman] in Australia until October. She’s in no position to settle with him. She feels her career is just starting." Over a year after the breakup, Heard had told The Hollywood Reporter in December 2018, "Elon and I had a beautiful relationship, and we have a beautiful friendship now, one that was based on our core values.
