Kajol recalls being fat-shamed in her early years

Kajol does few films. But her craze has not subsided yet. Kajol entered Bollywood at the age of 17 and Baazigar became a hit and she never looked back.

Kajol is very active on social media. Obviously, when it comes to social media, trolling is bound to happen. Kajol is also trolled for one reason or another. Even before that, she had to listen to many taunts due to her appearance.

Kajol spoke about this in a chat show. Kajol has changed a lot in the last few years. But in the beginning of her career, she had commented on the taunts and criticism she had to listen to because of her appearance.

She had said, “When I came to Bollywood, people used to call me dark and fat. I used to wear glasses all the time, and I used to get distracted by them. But I never felt the stress of these things. Because, I am calm, intelligent and definitely more than those who criticize me negatively.

I had to endure a lot of negativity because of my colour. I was really beautiful. I started looking in the mirror when I was 32-33 and then I told myself that you look beautiful just the way you are.

Kajol was very shady when she entered the industry. A few years later, she became so bright that many people were shocked to see her. Many people claimed that Kajol has done skin lightening surgery.

Kajol had denied any such surgery. She insisted that I have not undergone any surgery, I have not taken any skin whitening treatment.

I have not undergone any skin whitening surgery. I just stay out of the sun. Initially, I worked in the sun for 10 consecutive years. I didn't take care of my skin at all. So I was tanned. But after that I completely stopped working in the sun and became untanned.

Kajol made her acting debut 31 years ago in 1992 with the movie Bekhudi. She was only 17 years old then.

Her movie Baazigar was released in 1993. This movie was a storm. Her chemistry with Shah Rukh became a hit. After that she never looked back.
