Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is expected to make between Rs 15 crore-Rs 20 crore on its first day of release, which pales in comparison to the massive numbers that the star is used to, especially for his Eid releases

According to Bollywood Hungama, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has sold around 14000 advance tickets for day one at the three national multiplex chains, which is a good figure, considering that it has been marketed as a mass entertainer designed to appeal to single screen audiences in B centres.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was positioned as an urban film, and ended up making Rs 15 crore on day one. The romantic comedy has made Rs 145 crore nett since its release last month, but its strong showing at the ticket windows has been clouded by reports of a massive budget.

This year, only one Bollywood film has proven to be an undisputed hit at the box office.

Directed by Farhad Samji, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal and in important roles. Bhumika Chawla, Jagapathi Babu, and Vijender Singh also play pivotal roles in the film.

Talking about the advance bookings for the film, trade analyst Atul Mohan labelled them as decent and said, "Hopefully, the moon will be sighted on Friday. I expect the collections to jump (in the second half or post-evening), taking the day-one tally to respectable numbers. It can be around ₹15-18 crore. This is perhaps the widest Salman Khan release (with over 4500 screens) and there are no major releases for the next five-six weeks. The film has a good window to score well."
