Manisha Koirala reveals the exact reason of her divorce with Samrat Dahal

In 2010 Manisha Koirala tied the knot with businessman Samrat Dahal. The actress was doing well in her career and decided to take the plunge. But soon, the marriage was in doldrums.

According to a report in Times of India, the free spirited nature of the actress was reportedly blamed for the trouble in their married life. Having separated, Manisha returned to the glamour of Mumbai. And in 2012, she was detected with Cancer. Following which she went to the US for treatment.

In 2015, Manisha announced that she was cancer-free and gearing up to resume her career. In an interview, Manisha accepted that she was the one to be blamed for her brief marriage with Samrat.

She acknowledged the fact that her definition of marriage was rather a dreamy one, which was one of the reasons that led to the split.

Speaking about her idea of marriage and if there was any bitterness, the actress said: "I had a dreamy idea of marriage. If you are in a bad relationship then it's better to separate. There is no bitterness."

Further talking about how her notion led to cracks in the marriage and if she holds herself responsible for the divorce, Manisha said: "I take full responsibility of hurrying up and wanting to get married and then realising I am not meant for this. There is no fault from other side, the fault is mine.”

As we said earlier, it takes a lot to accept one’s flaws, especially when you are a celebrity under the spotlight quite often! Hats off to Manisha for gracefully accepting her shortcoming and not blaming anyone else for her failed marriage.

It was not long ago that Manisha Koirala made her intention to divorce her husband Samrat Dahal public on Facebook. The actor however has does it again. This is what she posted on her social media profile: "My husband has become my enemy. How much worst can it become for a women?

Six months after her wedding to the Nepali businessman, Koirala had posted her anguish on her Facebook account and said that she wanted to divorce her husband. Friends and family stepped in and Koirala changed her mind. Later she clarified that she got carried away in a 'fit of rage.'

In 2001, Manisha, claiming that she's not ready for mariage, broke off her engagment to Australian ambassador to Nepal Crispin Conroy. Then, author Christopher Dorris and Koirala parted ways a couple of years later and finally, Koirala settled for Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal. Dahal is seven years younger than Koirala.
