Mexican rapper Dan Sur has got gold chains surgically implanted into his scalp.

As reported by the New York Post on Friday (Sept. 10), Sur has gotten some golden chains surgically implanted into his scalp.

In one of the videos, he gives some background on his motivation for his new quasi hairstyle. “The truth is that I wanted to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair. I hope not everyone copies me now,” he says in one of the clips, per The Post’s translation.

Sur is far from the first artist to take some serious steps to stand out from the crowd.

Earlier this year, Lil Uzi Vert got a pink diamond implanted into his forehead.

Recently, Brazil-based rapper Renato de Santa got flesh removed so he could get a “demon smile” carved into his face.
