Sara Ali Khan says, would love to be in Aashiqui 3 with ex-boyfriend Kartik Aaryan

Actress Sara Ali Khan is currently busy shooting for Anurag Basu's upcoming film 'Metro In Dino'. Interestingly, Bollywood's 'Prince' i.e. Karthik Aryan is also going to start shooting for 'Aashiqui 3' with Anurag Basu.

No female lead has been finalized for 'Aashiqui 3' yet. At the same time, Sara Ali Khan has now expressed her desire to act in a Karthik Aaryan starrer. While talking to Connect FM, the actress expressed her desire to act in Karthik Aaryan's 'Aashiqui 3'

Sara said, 'I haven't been offered 'Aashiqui 3' yet, but if I get offered this film, I would love it, yes, of course." Bollywood Hungama had recently claimed in a report that the makers of Aashiqui 3 are in talks with Sara for the film.

The report also claims that they are looking for another female actress for the third lead. Almost a month after this news, Sara has now said that she wants to work in 'Aashiqui 3'.

Karthik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan were rumored to be dating each other during the shooting of the 2020 film Love Aaj Kal 2. However, later there were reports that the two had separated.

Filmmaker Karan Johar had confirmed that Sara and Kartik Aryan had something going on when Sara appeared in 'Koffee With Karan' last year. Earlier this year, Sara and Karthik were spotted together in Udaipur, Rajasthan. A photo of both of them is also on social media.

Reacting to this, Karthik told Siddharth Kannan, 'Someone took a picture of us because we were at the same place. There were a lot of people taking pictures of us. I am surprised that only one or two photos have surfaced.'

Talking about the work front, Sara Ali Khan's 'Gaslight' has released. She is currently shooting for 'Metro in Dino' alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal.

Karthik Aaryan was last seen on the big screen in 'Shehzada' opposite Kriti Sanon. The actor's film 'Satya Prem Ki Katha' is going to release soon. Karthik and Kiara Advani will be seen in this movie. A Hindi website has reported about this.

The Aashiqui franchise has been quite popular among fans of the romantic genre. The original Aashiqui, directed by Mahesh Bhatt, released in 1990 and had Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal playing the lead roles.

The second film in the franchise released 23 years later, in 2013, with actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.

Both films were massive hits. Aashiqui, made on a budget of Rs 80 lakhs reportedly earned Rs 5 crore and Aashiqui 2 did a business of Rs 78.42 cr

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan’s latest film Gaslight has started streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.

She will also be seen in Laxman Utekar’s next with Vicky Kaushal and Prime Video’s Ae Watan Mere Watan.
