Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl trailer is now out. In the film directed by Sharan Sharma, Janhvi plays the titular role of India’s first female Air Force officer to enter a warzone.
Gunjan Saxena played a pivotal role during the Kargil War of 1999. The film is set for a digital release on August 12.
The 2-minute-41-second-long trailer begins with a voiceover that says "Air force join karna hai toh fauji bankar dikhao, varna, ghar jaakar, belan chalao," and we then see glimpses of Janhvi, as Gunjan Saxena, running towards her destination.

The film's shoot was wrapped up in December last year.
Since theatres remain shut due to the novel coronavirus crisis, the makers opted for a digital release of the film.
The trailer shows Janhvi, as Gunjan Saxena, trying to make a mark for herself in the man-dominated Indian Air Force.
