Shah Rukh Khan is the reason why Aryan Khan is being targeted, says Shatrughan Sinha

Ever since the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, several Bollywood celebrities have come forward to support the family. Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha is the latest one to voice his opinion on the matter and has said that the star kid is being targeted because of his father.

Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is currently at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Aryan on October 3 following the drug bust on Cordelia Cruises' Empress ship that took place on October 2.

The star kid was sent to the NCB custody till October 7. The magistrate court sent Aryan and others arrested in the case to judicial custody for 14 days. On October 8, Aryan Khan's interim bail plea was rejected by the magistrate court in Mumbai. His bail plea will be heard today (October 13).

Shatrughan Sinha has come out in support of Aryan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview with ETimes, the veteran actor said that Aryan is being targeted because he is SRK's son.

He also spoke about the film industry taking time to unite for Shah Rukh and said that they want him to fight his own battle.He said, "Nobody wants to come forward. Everyone thinks it's the other person’s problem and he should deal with it. They want the person to fight his own battle. The industry is a bunch of scared folks..."

About SRK being targeted on the basis of his religion, he says, “We cannot say that it’s his religion that has come in the way, but some people have begun using that subject now, which is not right at all.

Whoever is an Indian is the son of India and all are equal under our constitution.” However, Shatrughan was quick to point out that Aryan is being antagonised because he is SRK’s son. He added, "Shah Rukh is definitely the reason why the boy is being targeted.

There are other names like Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant, but nobody is talking about them. The last time such a thing happened, the focus was on Deepika Padukone, although there were other names involved, and known names too, but the focus was on her only."

While Shatrughan Sinha said that the industry is taking time to stand with Shah Rukh Khan, several Bollywood celebrities have shown their support for the actor since Day 1. From Hrithik Roshan to Raveena Tandon, many Bollywood celebrities took to social media to extend their support.
