Sheezan Khan's family and his advocate Shailendra Mishra held a press conference in Mumbai on Monday (January 2) morning wherein they rubbished claims of love jihad and forcing Tunisha Sharma to wear a hijab.

Sheezan's sisters - Shafaq and Falaq Naaz - who were there at the press conference showed a photo from the shoot and said, "Tunisha's mother is saying that she was forced to wear hijab, this is the proof that it was from the channel and not us."

Sheezan Khan's advocate claimed that Tunisha's "so-called" uncle Pawan Sharma was her former manager, he was fired four years ago because he used to interfere a lot and behave harshly with her.

"Tunisha and Sanjeev Kaushal (an uncle in Chandigarh) had terrible relations. Sanjeev Kaushal and her mother, Vanita used to control Tunisha's finances. Tunisha often pleaded in front of her mother for her own money," added the lawyer. He went on to allege that Tunisha used to panic a lot upon hearing the name of Sanjeev Kaushal.

"On instigation of Sanjeev Kaushal, Tunisha's mother broke her phone and tried to strangulate her. Sanjeev Kaushal and Tunisha's mother used to control Tunisha's life," said Sheezan Khan's lawyer.

Last week, Tunisha's mother had alleged that Sheezan was forcing her to convert her into Islam and some pictures of Tunisha in hijab went viral on social media there after.

Hitting out at the allegations and the viral pictures, Sheezan' sister and co-actor Shafaq Naaz said the picture of Tunisha in hijab being circulated is from the set of the show which was part of the shoot. It can be seen.

Another sister Falaq Naaz clarified that Sheezan didn't have any other girlfriend and the girl who was called for recording her statement is no secret girlfriend.

"Tunisha's mother accepted that she has been neglecting Tunisha and that she didn't take care of her. Tunisha's depression was due to her childhood trauma," she stressed.

The family also revealed how Tunisha used to visit their home and had friendly ties with everyone. They clarified that Sheezan and Tunisha had not broken up and the actress' family is fabricating stories that have no logic.
