Vicky Kaushal's film Govinda Naam Mera release date out!

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal and filmmaker Karan Johar took over the internet yesterday as they dropped a hilarious video ahead of the release of their next collaboration Govinda Naam Mera. Instead of a theatre release, the film will be exclusively streamed on an OTT platform.

The makers had earlier planned to release the film in the theatres on June 10, 2022, but the makers have skipped theatrical release, and it will release directly on OTT. Now, Vicky Kaushal has finally announced the new release date of the movie, along with fresh posters featuring himself, Bhumi and Kiara.

Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram account and announced that Govinda Naam Mera is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from 16th December, 2022. The new poster shows him as Govinda Waghmare, and sharing the same, Vicky wrote, “Govinda naam mera, naachna kaam mera. Aa raha hun jald, apni kahaani le kar! #GovindaNaamMera streaming from 16th Dec, only on Disney+ Hotstar!” Karan Johar shared two additional character posters featuring Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. The poster introduces Bhumi as ‘Govinda ki hotty wife,’ while Kiara as ‘Govinda ki naughty girlfriend.’

Govinda Naam Mera stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The film is being produced by Dharma Productions and has been written and directed by Shashank Khaitan

Recently, the Uri actor shared a pic of himself on his Instagram and that hinted that he has kick-started the promotions of his upcoming movie.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the makers are all set to launch its trailer on November 20. The launch event will be attended by the lead cast, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani, along with producer Karan Johar

Earlier, in a statement, director Shashank Khaitan shared his excitement and said, “Working on this new genre of comedy was fascinating and with a talented star cast it only made it easy.
