The growing number of patients with the new Omicron variant of the Corona has raised concerns among doctors and scientists around the world. So far, 23 patients with omicron have been found in India.

The IMA has also demanded that children between the ages of 12 and 18 be vaccinated expeditiously. A team of IMA doctors told a news conference that coronavirus variants were appearing in several states in India. These numbers are likely to increase further.

According to local statistics, the Omicron variant is more contagious, and more people are likely to be affected by this variant.

If we do not take alternative measures to curb this variant there will be the possibility of a third wave of corona in the country, the MIA said.

And one more thing to look upon is vaccination, the covid vaccination is the major thing to prevent corona, that's the reason the government is paying more attention to the campaign.

The government appeals that the second dose of vaccine should be given immediately to those in need. Although omicron does not spread serious infections, it does infect 10 times more people than Delta.

IMA appealed to all to avoid unnecessary travel. Especially those who go to tourism and social events should be careful. The public transport system must strictly adhere to the Covid Protocol.

South Africa is facing major crises from Omicron, even children are also hospitalized there, and the IMA has appealed to all schools and colleges to vaccinate the youth in compliance with the covid protocol.

South Africa's president Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed concern. He said, "as soon as the fourth wave and the new variant are predicted. Scientists from around the world, including South Africa, are conducting research on the omicron".

Ramaphosa also said that guidelines should be followed before implementing strict rules like lockdown.
