Valentine's Day is just around the corner and gifting teddies to the person you love is considered as a symbol of true love. Every girl wants a teddy who would listen to her worries in times of happiness and sorrows. The day is believed to have got its name from former US President, Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt after a cute teddy was designed in his honour following his decision to not kill an animal during one of his hunting trips. It is believed that the first official teddy bear was made by Morris Michtom, a New York-based candy store owner in Brooklyn, New York.

The white teddy conveys a special message which means that you are already committed.

Green: It symbolises freshness, harmony and fertility and conveys the message, 'I am waiting for you.'

Red: It signifies love. You can gift it to your girlfriend or wife.

Blue: This teddy says your love is deep. Blue signifies depth, stability, intelligence and loyalty.

A pink teddy means that your crush loves you back and adores you.
