On Monday, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde went to Marine Drive and instructed the BMC officials to ensure that citizens who visit the area for a morning walk are provided with adequate facilities.

During the event, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker and MLA Rahul Narvekar, State Tourism, Environment, and Mumbai's Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, and other senior officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) were in attendance.

Every day, numerous people visit Marine Drive in Mumbai for their daily walk, but unfortunately, there is only one restroom facility available for them. The Chief Minister inspected the hygiene and sanitation conditions of the toilet.

Furthermore, he instructed the officials to enhance the number of such toilets and improve their maintenance. He also ordered them to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the Marine Drive jetty surroundings.

Furthermore, he examined the progress of the coastal road construction and stated that the work would be finished within a year and made available to the citizens of Mumbai.

The government's stance is to enhance the beauty of Mumbai and transform it into a globally recognized city.

The Marine Drive region of Mumbai is a popular tourist spot, and the area near the Gateway of India is renowned for morning walks.

CM emphasized the importance of maintaining the area's cleanliness and beauty.
