Shiv Sena has 55 MLAs in the Assembly. But Eknath Shinde, a Shiv Sena group leader and a staunch Shiv Sainik, initially pushed back and revolted with some MLAs and left for Surat. Since then, there has been a huge increase in pro-Shinde MLAs in the last two days.

It is learned that Eknath Shinde's group has got 46 MLAs so far. Pro-Shinde MLAs are currently staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati. After the split in Shiv Sena, Chief Minister Thackeray addressed the people on Wednesday.

As per the promise given by Uddhav Thackeray, Varsha left the residence on Wednesday night and reached Matoshri. Shiv Sainiks also warmly welcomed Uddhav Thackeray. Discussions started that Uddhav Thackeray left his 'Varsha' residence and came on the backfoot.
