Maha Vikas Aghadi government came to power in Maharashtra in 2019. But within two and a half years, the MLAs who joined the Shiv Sena rebelled under the leadership of Eknath Shinde.

Eknath Shinde’s group along with 50 MLAs joined hands with BJP and formed the government. So who exactly is Shiv Sena now? Who exactly will the leadership of Shiv Sena go to? Such questions have been now doing the rounds.

At the same time, Raj Thackeray reacted to the decision to hand over the leadership of Shiv Sena to Uddhav Thackeray in the Mahabaleshwar convention. He told about the exact question that Raj asked Balasaheb after handing over the post of party chief to Uddhav.

“I don’t want to go into anyone’s personal life or anyone’s family. But this should be considered,” he criticized Uddhav in an interview

Years after being sidelined by Bal Thackeray's other leaders working for him, the disillusioned Thackeray resigned from Shiv Sena on 27th November 2005 and announced his intention to start a new political party. On 9 March 2006 in Mumbai, Thackeray founded Maharashtra Navnirman Sena
