Sanjay Raut's aggressive approach causes tension within Maha Vikas Aghadi

Sanjay Raut, a member of Shiv Sena, has been a prominent figure in state politics and known for his aggressive approach towards BJP after the 2019 election results and the formation of Maha Vikas Aghadi.

Sanjay Raut has been making headlines due to his close ties with Sharad Pawar and the trust Uddhav Thackeray has in him. In a recent editorial in Saamana, Sanjay Raut made comments about the NCP's political developments and criticized Sharad Pawar. In response, NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal criticized Raut, suggesting that if he had paid attention to the Shinde group, he would not be sidelined today.

Sanjay Raut had made a statement regarding Ajit Pawar amid speculations of his potential defection to the BJP. Ajit Pawar reportedly said that he should talk about his own party and its mouthpiece rather than advocating for them, as they are capable of taking their own stance.

Nana Patole, the State Congress President, has advised Sanjay Raut to refrain from sycophancy and hypocrisy. Patole has also criticized Raut for speaking out against the Gandhi family and likened it to spitting on the sun. He has asked Raut to stop bullying and to avoid expressing opinions about the Congress party.

Jayant Patil, the state president of NCP, stated that in order to maintain the Maha Vikas Aghadi, he finds it inappropriate to comment on Sanjay Raut. Raut often conducts press conferences in the morning to express his opinions on different matters.

Regarding Raut's daily press conference, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has commented that there is no need to broadcast Raut's press conference every morning. Fadnavis added that Raut begins each day by promoting hatred and then the issue is politicized for the rest of the day.

Sanjay Raut has become a controversial figure in the state's political landscape due to his vocal opinions on various issues within the Maha Vikas Aghadi. This has caused tension and discontent among the alliance partners. Many political analysts believe that Raut's behaviour may eventually lead to a breakup of the MVA.
