7th pay commission employees get 18 months DA arrears taken after Holi

Government employees have been waiting for the outstanding DA of 18 months for a long time. At the same time, there are reports that a decision can be taken by the government on the outstanding DA of 18 months.

Pay Commission Actually, these employees can get good news soon after Holi this year. Employees and lakhs of pensioners are eagerly waiting that the government can gift the DA arrears of 18 months stuck during the pandemic after Holi.

Central employees are constantly demanding that the outstanding dearness allowance from January 2020 to June 2021 be released.

Recently, JCM Secretary had written a letter to the Cabinet Secretary, in which he had sought time to discuss the arrears and demanded that a decision should be taken on whether dearness allowance is the right of the employees.

If the government accepts their demand of getting DA arrears under the 7th Pay Commission, then there will be a significant increase in the bank account of central employees. This is the reason why the workers are constantly pressing for their demands.

During this, the Central Government had banned Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of Central Government employees and pensioners during Covid-19.

However, since the end of the Covid-19 epidemic, the employees are demanding this amount. The employees have been demanding the release of funds from the government for a long time.

Dearness allowance is a component of salary of the government employees and pensioners, aimed at soothing the impact of inflation.

To cope with the rising inflation, the effective salary of government employees is revised periodically. The Union government revises DA twice every year – in January and July. It must be noted that Dearness Allowance varies from employee to employee based on whether they work in the urban sector, semi-urban sector, or rural sector.
