Another 400 Vande Bharat trains to be announced in upcoming Union Budget 2023-24

Modi government is likely to announce 300 to 400 Vande Bharat trains in the next budget. The railways also aims to roll out the first 'standard gauge' version of this semi-high-speed train within the next one year. Due to this only Europe, South America and East Asia by 2015-26.

The announcement of the new Vande Bharat train is in addition to the already announced plan to launch such 475 cm high speed trains in the next 3-4 years. Permit 300 to 400 such trains every year to meet the growing demand and provide better passenger experience.

According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the first Vande Bharat train with sleeper coach will be started in the first quarter of 2024. Currently all these trains are for broad gauge network. An official of the ministry said, We will prepare such trains.

Ashwini Vaishnav had said that 475 Vande Bharat Express trains will start running on the tracks in the country in the next three years. He also said that the first bullet train in the country will start by 2026. At present five Vande Bharat Express trains are running in the country.

Recently three such new technology cars have been introduced. The maximum speed of these trains is 180 km per hour. But currently they are being driven at a speed of 130 km per hour. The first bullet train project is being built between Gandhinagar and Mumbai. The speed of bullet train is 320 kmph.

According to the information given by the Railway Minister in the 'Times Now Summit', the government is moving towards achieving the target of running 475 Vande Bharat trains. In the previous budget, 400 trains were sanctioned and before that 75 were sanctioned.

We will achieve the target in the next three years. Many countries have shown interest in this train, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants more improvements, he said recently. Therefore, the Railways is currently working on the design of the third generation Vande Bharat Express.
