The news that Rs 5, 10 and 100 notes would be discontinued was completely false and misleading. People should not believe this viral news. The RBI had said that Rs 5, 10 and Rs 100 notes would remain in circulation as before.

How to identify 500 rupee note? Learn about it. 1) When the Rs. 500 note is placed in front of the light, it is seen that Pusat 500 is written there. 2) You can see this number only when you place it at a 45 degree angle in front of your eyes.

500 numbers will be written in Devanagari. 4) The orientation and position of Mahatma Gandhi's photo will be slightly different compared to the old notes. 5) When the notes are slightly broken, the color of the security thread changes from green to blue.

The Guarantee Clause, Governor's Signature, Promise Clause and RBI logo have been moved to the right as compared to the old notes. 7) You will also see Mahatma Gandhi's photo and electrotype watermark on the new Rs. 500 note.
