The H5N1 virus is found in birds. So people who supply meat should be careful not to get any bird in the food chain that is infected.

The sale of poultry food products has been banned and its consumption has been banned as per government orders. If you are consuming any poultry products, cook them at 70 degrees Celsius or higher.

It is advisable to use different knives and utensils for raw and cooked chicken. Avoid eating any raw or boiled eggs.

Humans are less at risk of bird flu than birds. Contact with an infected bird or animal can put a person at risk. Also, people who do not eat well cooked eggs or chicken are at risk.

The virus was first reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2005. If you cook chicken, eggs, meat well from the inside out, you will not be at risk of the bird flu H5N1 virus.

According to the WHO, chicken or eggs should be cooked at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. Experts say that if the virus enters the food chain through a mixture of infected birds, people can catch bird flu after eating chicken and eggs.
