Chandrayaan 3: Vikram Lander enters lower orbit of the moon

Chandrayaan 3's lander Vikram shared latest images of the moon today after completing a manoeuvre that took it closer to its destination.

These images and videos come as a courtesy of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) that shared all the details on X, formerly Twitter.

Also remarkable is the separation of the propulsion and lander modules. ISRO had already loaded the sequences and commands to separate the two in space. It was in the propulsion module and onboard computer in the Vikram. A cylinder-like shape on top of the propulsion module fuels.

The Vikram lander was placed on it, inside which the Pragyan rover was placed. The module was attached with a clamp and two bolts. ISRO Chairman S Somnath said that the same technology was used in Chandrayaan-2's orbiter and lander.
