"India is the biggest democracy" , this is not true: Sudhanshu Trivedi

The award distribution ceremony of the fourth edition of Lokmat Parliamentary Awards-2022 has been organized in Delhi on Tuesday. Many Members of Parliament are participating in this program. He said that we all say that India is the biggest democracy, while it is true that it is half true. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji said that we are the mother of democracy. He said that every person of India should be proud that the Magna Carta is in Britain.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi further said that the Republic of Vaishali was 2500 years ago. Not only this, the word Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha also came from sabha, samiti, vidatha and gana in Vedic period. Only 30 percent of the world's population comes under pure democracy, including 16 percent.

He said that if there is such a large legacy, no one will say that democracy has been attacked.

It is okay if you had objections to the Modi government, but you would have said something from what I said that we are a country which has always given high ideals of democracy. We are the country which gave the ancient republic. Rahul Gandhi never spoke a word in this because he has neither pride nor knowledge on India and Indianness.
