Kalpana Soren, wife of former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Hemant Soren, filed her candidature on Monday for the by-elections to be held on the Gandey assembly seat of Jharkhand. Chief Minister Champai Soren was also present on this occasion.
According to Kalpana Soren's affidavit in her nomination, she is a millionaire. Kalpana Soren has a total wealth of Rs 19.14 crore. In this there is an immovable property of Rs 13 crore 63 lakh 10 thousand.
Kalpana Soren has assets worth Rs 5 crore 51 lakh 51 thousand 168 including cash, car insurance, PPF, bank deposits and jewellery. Apart from this, Kalpana Soren has a debt of Rs 3.67 crore. Similarly, Kalpana Soren's husband Hemant Soren is also a millionaire.
Hemant Soren has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 5.3 crore. Kalpana Soren has given all this information in the affidavit given along with the nomination form. In the affidavit, Kalpana Soren has mentioned his wealth, which includes jewelry worth Rs 91.97 lakh.
Kalpana Soren has three cars to his name, including Urbania, Hyundai i-20 and Maruti XL Six. The cash amount is Rs 27.28 lakh. 85.20 lakhs are deposited in the bank. 61.46 lakh rupees invested in bond-debenture-shares. 63.30 lakhs is invested in PPF and LIC.
According to Kalpana Soren's affidavit, Hemant Soren has bank deposits of Rs 62.47 lakh, bond-debenture-shares worth Rs 52.46 lakh, PPF and LIC worth Rs 43.39 lakh. Also, Hemant Soren has cash of Rs 6.64 lakh and jewelery worth Rs 18.91 lakh.
