Finally, Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is granted bail from Mumbai High Court in a drug case. After so many attempts and rejections from Special Court, Lower Court, and Sessions Court. The Mumbai High Court has granted bail to Aryan Khan.

On 28 October the Mumbai High Court granted bail to Aryan, Moonmoon Dhamecha, and Arbaaz Merchant. All three will be released from Arthur Road Jail today or tomorrow.

After getting bail, the country's former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi said the Mumbai High Court had granted bail to Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Moonmoon Dhamecha after hearing arguments for three days. Hopefully, he will be released tomorrow or Saturday.

Importantly, two veteran lawyers, Satish Manshinde and Amit Desai could not get bail for Aryan Khan and his colleagues in the Special Court, Lower Court, and Sessions Court. As such, now after the arguments of former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, Aryan Khan has been granted bail.

Senior lawyer Mukul Rohatgi had recently backed Aryan Khan. Before the sessions court rejected bail, Mukul Rohatgi had said that there was no justifiable reason for keeping Aryan in jail.

Mukul Rohatgi, one of the country's leading lawyers, completed his law education at the Government Law College, Mumbai. After leaving here, Rohatgi started his practice as a junior of famous lawyer Yogesh Kumar Sabharwal.

Mukul Rohatgi had defended the Gujarat government in the 2002 Gujarat riots case. He had also argued in court on behalf of the Gujarat government in the fake encounter case.

Mukul Rohatgi was appointed as the country's Attorney General on June 19, 2014, by then President Pranab Mukherjee. Mukul was the 14th Attorney General of the country till June 18, 2017.

According to media reports, Mukul Rohatgi charges around Rs 10 lakh for one of his hearings. However, in an RTI reply, the Maharashtra government had said that senior councilor Mukul Rohatgi had been transferred by the Maharashtra government to Judge B.H.
