The results of the Kasba Peth and Chinchwad by-elections in Maharashtra have come out. The results made history in Kasba Peth, which is considered a BJP stronghold after 28 years. Here, Congress candidate Ravindra Dhangekar defeated the BJP's Hemant Rasne.

All eyes were on the outcome of this by-election in Maharashtra. But on the other hand, the results of the northeastern elections have also come out. The result of this election has come as a delight to Ramdas Athawale.

This is because the results of this election are the first time that the Republican Party of India (RPI) group has entered the assembly. Two candidates of the RPI party have won in Nagaland.

This is the first time that two candidates from the RPI Athawale group have thrown gulal in the assembly outside Maharashtra. The BJP-NDPP is leading in Nagaland, and the two winning candidates from Yadva have created an atmosphere of jubilation among RPI party workers.

Elections were held for a total of 60 constituencies in the Nagaland Assembly. The counting of votes is underway here today. The ruling NDPP-BJP alliance has won five seats so far (NDPP - 3, BJP - 2) while NDPP and BJP are leading in about 30 seats in the elections.

Going by the polls on 55 of the 60 seats, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, which contested in alliance with the BJP on a 40:20 seat-sharing pact, is ahead in 20 seats. The BJP on the other hand is currently leading in 10 seats. While the Republican Party of India (Athawale) has won these two seats.

The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, a constituent party of the NDA, won 18 seats in the 2018 elections. He then formed the government with the support of the BJP. The Naga People's Front could not form the government even after winning 25 seats.

Ramdas Athawale leads Maharashtra from the Rajya Sabha in the second term of the Modi government. He is the president of the Republican Party of India's Athawale Group. So he holds the post of minister of state at the centre. He has been associated with the BJP as an ally since 2014.
